Erciyes, On the American Stage with the Legend of Warren Miller

As part of the Ski Turkish project, one of America’s most prestigious outdoor production companies, Warren Miller Entertainment, has revived its legendary ski film concept “Steeper and Deeper” after 34 years.

The Türkiye segment of this special production was filmed at Erciyes Ski Resort by world-renowned extreme skier, travel writer, and producer Dan Egan and his team.

Supported by the Türkiye Tourism Promotion and Development Agency (TGA), the filming showcased Erciyes’s mesmerizing natural beauty and winter tourism potential through a cinematic lens for audiences around the world.

Egan’s film, shot 33 years ago, had already featured remarkable footage from Kayseri, Cappadocia, and Erciyes. The new documentary, produced by Warren Miller Entertainment, was premiered at major U.S. events such as the Toronto Ski Show and the Boston Ski Show.

Through these screenings, Türkiye gained the opportunity to be promoted for the first time at international fairs in the U.S. with a film centered on winter tourism.

Managed by Erciyes Inc., Türkiye’s first destination management company under Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality, Erciyes Ski Resort has become the first Turkish ski resort to have its documentary featured in the United States.
