Erciyes Ski Resort Among the World’s Best
Under the leadership of Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç, who promotes a people-oriented approach to governance and highlights the city’s unique values, Kayseri continues to rank among the top cities in various fields, including tourism.
In this context, the globally renowned Snow Magazine has announced its annual list of the “World’s Best Ski Resorts.” In this year’s evaluation, Erciyes Ski Resort was the only representative from Turkey to make it into the list of the world’s top 25 ski resorts. The list features many resorts from the leading countries in ski tourism, such as France, Switzerland, Italy, the United States, and Japan — and Erciyes proudly stands as the sole Turkish entry.
Evaluated by Numerous Criteria
The editors of Snow Magazine evaluated more than 100 ski resorts based on several criteria, including slope quality, urban amenities, accessibility, price balance, and modern facilities, to compile the list.

Kayseri Erciyes Inc. Chairman Hamdi Elcuman emphasized that Erciyes’s success was no coincidence, stating:
“Erciyes has now become not only Turkey’s but one of the world’s most distinguished ski destinations. This success showcases Kayseri’s vision, investment power, and ambition in tourism to the entire world. The Erciyes project, which has been developed for years with a planned, sustainable, and internationally standardized vision, has fully achieved its goals under the Erciyes Master Plan prepared by the Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality. Being the only ski resort from Turkey to appear on this globally recognized list is a great source of pride for both Kayseri and our country.”
In the evaluation, officials highlighted that Erciyes competes with the world’s leading ski resorts thanks to its modern lift systems, over 100 kilometers of slopes, snow quality, slope diversity, and environmentally friendly practices.
This achievement clearly demonstrates that the Erciyes Master Plan, initiated years ago by the Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality, has successfully reached its goals. Through this master project, Erciyes has proven that its vision now holds international recognition.
