Kayseri’s New Sports Tourism Route: The Canoeing Project
The Tomarza Böke Canoeing Project, which will be implemented by the Kayseri Governorship and Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality, will not only enhance the tourism potential of the region but also create a new area where sports meet nature.
Most recently, during on-site inspections at the project location, important information was shared regarding the project s details.
Deputy Governor Ömer Tekeş, Tomarza District Governor Ali Buzkaya, Deputy Secretary General of Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality Ufuk Sekmen, Head of the Survey and Projects Department Murat Baltacı, and Provincial Director of Culture and Tourism Şükrü Dursun examined the work being carried out at the canoeing site in Böke Neighborhood of Tomarza. Based on information provided by the contractor, the current status of the project was evaluated.
The project, which will offer canoeing opportunities along the Zamantı River, will give visitors the chance to both engage in sport and enjoy time immersed in nature. This joint project by the Kayseri Governorship and the Metropolitan Municipality aims to promote sports while contributing to the regional development of Kayseri.
Kayseri, which was awarded the Golden Flag and named Best Sports City of 2024, will now make the most of the potential created by the combination of sports and nature tourism through this project.
